Elope in Lake d'Orta
Due to its fairy romance and unique atmosphere we organize many elopements and micro weddings in Lake Orta every year.
Most of them are organized in the delightful lakeside Orta San Giulio, recognized as one of the most beautiful borgo of Italy.
During the planning phase we will discuss in detail your requirements and wishes for the wedding day, but most of the couples love to structure the day as follows.
At morning time the hairdresser visits the bride at her place for a glamorous hair style. She has already sent a few photos of her hair and favourite style so that the professional knows exactly the wishes of the bride.
Orta San Giulio is mainly pedestrian and both Villa Bossi, where civil ceremonies are celebrated and the Church of the Assumption, where Catholic ceremonies are hosted, are in the city centre.
Usually the photographer starts the photo shooting at the wedding ceremony venue, even if we always recommend starting the service a bit earlier at the hotel for the bride and groom getting ready photos.
We recommend a live music accompaniment during the ceremony; even for intimate elopements and micro weddings, in fact, the romance of live musicians greatly enhance this important moment.
After the ceremony many couples organize a charming boat ride leading to the venue they have chosen for the wedding dinner or ending back in Orta San Giulio. The boat can stop in the suggestive San Giulio island that offers plenty of beautiful corners for photos.
Many intimate restaurants are available in town (walking distance) and a few of them are just outside Orta San Giulio and can be reached by boat. The options are many ranging from lakeside venues to rooftop terrace restaurants and, if you are looking for a gourmet dinner, Orta San Giulio hosts the restaurant of the most popular Italian chef and MasterChef star (2 star Michelin awarded).
