Standing on one of the seven hills of Rome, Campidoglio square was designed by Michelangelo who created the splendid flight of steps and the facade of Senatorial Palace (XIII Century) where the civil weddings are celebrated. Michelangelo completely revolutionized the square orienting it towards St. Peter's Basilica, which represented the new political center of the city. The lavish and sumptuous interior of the Palace is designed in Renaissance style.
Campidoglio wedding hall (known also as Red hall) is wonderfully decorated. Seated in regal, gold-trimmed red chairs, candle chandeliers, red satin walls make this extraordinary venue a regal backdrop for your Rome wedding!
